Lousiana Tech running back Justin Henderson is a five-foot-seven, 220-pound rising star. He’s built with a thick base and an explosive skill set that could be a perfect fit for the Philadelphia Eagles, and that’s something that the front office should consider looking at in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Despite being on the shorter side, the Bulldog product has been an excellent player in college. He is a  true bulldozer at times but can also turn on the jets in the blink of an eye. After rushing for over 1,400-yards and 17 touchdowns in his career, Henderson has all the tools to be a game-changer in the National Football League.

The Philadelphia Eagles need to add to their stable of running backs.

Philly has a great weapon in running back Miles Sanders, but they need to add talented runners to back him up. As of now, the running back room is filled with question marks that need to be answered.

With new head coach Nick Sirianni at the helm, creating a solid running back room could go a long way in helping him to lead this team to success.

Henderson could be a potential steal in the 2021 NFL Draft during one of those later rounds, one that could end up a great investment for Philadelphia. With his combination of football intelligence, a tree-trunk lower half, and his ability to make people miss, here’s a young man that could be the perfect backup to impact the Eagles’ running game.

Here’s a scout’s quote, one that could interest Philadelphia Eagles fans.

We at ITI had the opportunity to speak with a scouting source about Justin Henderson. While he did not want to be named, he did have this to say:

"I like Justin Henderson a lot. I wanted to see him live at his pro day and really see him up close. He is a muscular guy, (one that’s built like a buff tree). All jokes aside though, the guy has a skill set that perks your ears up really. He has a pretty solid game that I think fits in the NFL. I am not sure about him being ‘the guy’ but in a rotation, he can be a great fit. I think he is a weapon that will make a roster that much better."

Justin Henderson could be the perfect number two back for this Eagles team. When you watch the film you see a player that can do it all with and without the ball in his hands. He just needs an opportunity to show off his potential. With the 2021 NFL Draft almost upon us, Philly’s front office needs to keep an eye on the Lousiana product.
