How much should Philadelphia Eagles fans listen to anonymous quotes?

If one former Eagle felt the need to make that previously mentioned statement to Rob Maaddi, there are, no doubt, other Birds who are still in the building that agree. Based on what we’ve seen, they probably can’t wait to tell someone.

That, ladies and gentlemen, is a problem, and it doesn’t seem to be one that will disappear as long as Howie Roseman is the vice president and general manager of the Philadelphia Eagles. Friends, that is all evidence of a larger issue.

The Eagles can, arguably, lay claim to being the most dysfunctional franchise in the NFL, and one of the biggest root causes of that is the little guy at the NovaCare Complex. Dare we say that the only other NFL team that’s seemingly worse run than the Philadelphia Eagles now is the Houston Texans?

Fans shouldn’t be as informed as the guys that run the team, and though that’s a slight exaggeration of the facts, information on this Eagles team seems to be too easy to acquire. Are fans and members of the media off at times with some of their theories? They most certainly are. Is it lazy to state that any opinion that you disagree with qualifies as ‘fake news’? That too is an accurate statement.

In the end, the long and the short of everything is this. Howie is inebriated by his own power, and it’s obvious to everyone watching. None of us need anonymous quotes to decipher that. Jeffrey Lurie meddles too much, and there are a lot of unhappy people in what used to be a franchise that players wanted to come and play for.  That too is obvious.

It’s sad that there are so many people who can’t wait to give someone a quote though. That’s what’s concerning. Hopefully, this all gets turned around quickly, but there’s no reason to believe it will until one man is gone. We all know who that man is.
