The Philadelphia Eagles would be wise to add to their defensive secondary.

Virginia Tech cornerback Caleb Farley is arguably the best defensive back in the entire draft, but with the recent news of his back injury, we could see the former Hokie fall out of the first round. If he is available for the Philadelphia Eagles on the draft’s second day, they need to go get him.

Blessed with great size (he’s six-foot-two and weighs 205-pounds, natural ball-skills, and arguably the fastest feet in the draft, Farley has all the tools to be the next star cornerback for the National Football League.

Despite sitting out the entire 2020 season Farley has been a favorite for fans, media, and NFL decision-makers alike. He’s destined for greatness.

Sure, injuries are always a concern, and after what Birds fans witnessed with the deterioration of Timmy Jernigan, no one wants to hear the words ‘back injury’. Still, even with that being said, Farley’s won’t slow him down for long.

This could be a blessing in disguise for the Eagles as it gives them someone they need later than they thought they could land him. This could be a future asset for their cornerback room as pairing Farley with Darius Slay will give the Eagles a formidable duo moving forward, one that could pay off immediately in the NFC East.
