Gregory Rousseau, Miami. 6. player. 834. . .

Rousseau gives the Philadelphia Eagles an elite edge guy for the next ten years.

It would be wonderful if we could slot an offensive lineman here, especially one that can fill a gap on the interior. With Penei Sewell’s buzz, however, and with Rashawn Slater’s ability to play all five positions on the offensive line potentially, it’s doubtful that we’re talking about either one of them being available at 12.

You know what they say though. When you’re given lemons, make lemonade, and in the Eagles case, there’s the potential of Philly landing decent offensive linemen later. That may not be the case with elite edge guys.

As far as 2021 prospects go, Miami’s Gregory Rousseau is the cream of the pass-rushing crop. He’s a tad ahead of Kwity Paye, whose numbers don’t quite match the buzz he’s getting. 12 is also probably a little too high to reach on guys like offensive linemen Christian Darrisaw, Alijah Vera-Tucker, and Teven Jenkins.

Gregory Rousseau is as safe a bet as any. The fact of the matter though is this. There are better options for the Philadelphia Eagles at 12.
