3. player. 881. . . . Marquez Stevenson, Houston

How does Marquez Stevenson on a Philadelphia Eagles roster sound?

Right now, there are probably a few hundred of you that are saying the same thing. Here’s a guess as to what that is. You’re wondering why Marquez Stevenson is nestled at number three after hauling in 20 receptions in the American Athletic Conference in 2020 right?

It’s a fair question. Your concerns are reasonable, but here’s the thing.

If you guys are like our staff, you do your research. One, he only played in five games. Second, a 15.4 yards-per-reception average isn’t too shabby. Neither is the fact that four of those 20 receptions resulted in touchdowns.

Okay, who are we kidding? Honestly, this is an attempt to shake things up some by including this guy, but he is worthy of discussion.

There’s also this to consider. Too many scouts have said his name and then used Jalen Reagor as an NFL comparison. Scouts like his size as he is six-foot-tall and tips the scales at 190 pounds. They also like that he’s a potential sub-4.5 40 guy.

Stevenson’s been a bit of a game-breaker too. If he gets the ball in his, he’s a threat to score. That’s a fact, and it might help him rise on a few draft boards. Consider this your sleeper pick in the 2021 selection meeting.
