Patience is a virtue in society and the football world alike. That’s especially true in a city with championship hopes and expectations. The City of Brotherly Love, where our beloved Philadelphia Eagles battle for National Football League supremacy, an Eagles team led by general manager Howie Roseman, are now in both unknown and familiar territory, rebuilding.

They’re coming off of a terrible 2020 season, one in which the Philadelphia Eagles and their fans were tortured by injuries, locker room drama, and horrible play. All of that led to a ridiculous four-win season which, in turn, led to the removal of Doug Pederson and the eventual trade of quarterback Carson Wentz. Now, it feels like 2021 is off to a rocky start. All hope isn’t lost though.

Things are looking up for the Philadelphia Eagles and their passionate fans.

Despite the rocky start Roseman seems to have steadied the ship, with a chain of savvy decisions and underrated signings. First, he hired first-time head coach Nick Sirianni, one of the hotter names amongst NFL front offices alike. He then put together a solid coaching staff, with real championship potential. While there is room to be concerned with the lack of experience, the new staff is covered in proven talent.

This leads to free agency. In what seemed the slowest free-agent period in Philadelphia Eagles history. The front office surely took its time identifying and landing potential upgrades to this lacking roster. While the Eagles have time to add talent, they have done a great job bringing in underrated players. That could wind up being difference-makers, and leaders for the Birds’.

Talent, Talent, Talent, The Philadelphia Eagles keep adding underrated talent.

After a slow start to the free-agency process, Howie Roseman landed two players that have big-play ability, two players that could be the upgrade the defense needs. One is safety Anthony Harris, and the other is linebacker Eric Wilson.

Harris, the more popular of the two, has been a name Philadelphia Eagles fans have clamored for since last season. A true field general on the back end of the defense, Harris could be the guy that helps change the fortunes of this Birds team.

The Eagles also made news when they brought in the second of the two former Minnesota Vikings, linebacker Eric Wilson. Coming off of the best year of his career, Wilson had three sacks, three interceptions, and 122 tackles. The addition of both has now made weaknesses potential strengths of the team.

We are less than a month away from the 2021 NFL Draft, and that will be another opportunity to add talent to the roster. While things have looked bleak in Philadelphia, Roseman and his team have done an amazing job of dealing with one issue after another.

Now, they seem to be sitting pretty while they wait on the start the selection meeting. We’re almost a year away from one of the most times in Philly’s history, and thankfully, the Eagles seemed to be on the verge of figuring things out.
