The Philadelphia Eagles get their 1-2 punch at running back.

We said it in another of our mock drafts a little while ago. We’ll say it again. Oklahoma running back Rhamondre Stevenson could be the ideal second fiddle to Miles Sanders.

For those who were fans of LeGarrette Blount during his 2017 season in Philly, you are in for a treat if Rhamondre ends up wearing the midnight green. The five-foot-eleven, 230-pound back is best known for his ability to steamroll defenders on his way to the endzone.

He rarely goes down upon initial contact. His best attributes are perhaps his patience and vision, and those are big reasons for the numbers he put up in college.

While Rhamondre didn’t play a ton of football in 2019, he was a force to be reckoned with when he was on the field. On just 64 carries, he posted 8.8 yards per rush and six trips to the endzone in 13 games. Unfortunately, he was suspended at the start of the 2020 season for failing NCAA drug tests. Fortunately, we weren’t dealing with PEDs.

When he did return to action, he went on a tear in six games. He rattled off 665 rushing yards and tallied a 6.6 yards-per-rush average. He also scored seven touchdowns. He racked up an additional 211 receiving yards on 18 receptions, and his athleticism and improved ability as a receiver will move him up some draft boards. Stevenson and Sanders should complement each other nicely.
