Philadelphia Eagles draft: Ranking their top 3 third-round WR targets
By Smit Bajaj
Brown can play both inside and outside in the Philadelphia Eagles offense.
Ever since the prime days of DeSean Jackson, the Birds have struggled to land a consistent deep threat. If the team opts to draft Dyami Brown, he and Jalen Reagor would give Hurts a pair of dangerous receivers capable of taking any pass to the endzone, a pair of receivers that could terrorize the rest of the NFL for the next ten seasons. That’s a promise.
Brown possesses elite speed and is one of the best deep route runners in this draft. While he ran a limited route tree in college, the North Carolina product has shown a steady and clear work ethic towards expanding his expertise in short and intermediate areas.
If the Eagles miss out on Jaylen Waddle or DeVonta Smith, Brown would be an exceptional consolation prize. With the proper coaching and development, the ACC product would be an excellent receiver that can make his presence felt on the outside or in the slot.
He caught 123 passes for 2,306 yards and 21 touchdowns during his 32-game career. We’ll have to wait and see if that translates to the next level.
