The Philadelphia Eagles pass defense could use a few upgrades to help

Georgia Bulldog’s defensive back Richard Lecounte III is a general on the backend of any defense you put him on. A sideline-to-sideline star, Lecounte has the ability to be used in a multitude of ways.

He is a sledgehammer versus the running game, and he’s a real ballhawk versus the opposing team’s passing game. The Philadelphia Eagles added a few key pieces to the safety room, but Lecounte could add a lot more talent.

He has the football intelligence that coaches look for in the NFL. He also has the freakish and athletic ability to be a real force for the Birds. While he was injured early last year, he seems to be healthy again and shouldn’t slow down one bit moving forward. Although it is still a mystery as to what type of defensive scheme the Eagles will roll out, adding a player like the former Bulldog could be an upgrade to any defensive theory.

If the Philadelphia Eagles have the opportunity to land Richard Lecounte III here in the fourth round, they should consider it a huge and wise acquisition.
