The Philadelphia Eagles have needs at their offensive line’s interior.

At this point of your lives as NFL fans, you’ve, no doubt, heard the term “winning in the trenches” so often that it will make your head spin if you hear it again. Philadelphia Eagles fans have heard the term a time or two themselves. Their team has won in the trenches (see the 2017 season where they earned the Built Ford Tough Offensive Line of the Year Award). They’ve lost in the trenches as well.

Birds fans need only look at what injuries and poor play did to this unit in 2020 for evidence of the latter. Gosh, it still hurts to think about that.

If everything goes according to plan, Philly’s front will look like this from left to right: Andre Dillard, Isaac Seumalo, Jason Kelce, Brandon Brooks, Lane Johnson. The same was true last season, and the only person that made it to the finish line was Kelce. One could make the argument that this team needs depth, and they’d be able to make that argument very easily.

Philly will have an opportunity to address their offensive line’s depth issues with one or more of those 11 picks they currently have in the 2021 NFL draft. The questions are will they and how early might they do so?

Here’s an attempt to help. Here are the top 20 interior linemen in the 2021 NFL Draft. To make things interesting, we’ve thrown the versatile Rashawn Slater from Northwestern and USC’s Alijah Vera-Tucker out of the discussion. They’d top this list, but both are probably destined to play offensive tackle anyway.
