3 Day-three running back targets Philadelphia Eagles should consider
The Philadelphia Eagles offense could use a runner like Trey Sermon.
Former Oklahoma Sooner and Ohio State running back Trey Sermon is arguably one of the best backs in the entire 2021 NFL Draft. The six-foot-one and 215-pound rising star was a touchdown machine in college. He had 26 of them, and he has the ability to do so from anywhere.
Sermon saw his stock take a huge jump after his amazing play at the end of the 2020 college football season, but even so, he should be available on day three of the draft.
The Philadelphia Eagles could use a back like Sermon, as he isn’t that far off from Miles Sanders. He has a great burst and can give a heck of a punch to finish a run. He has thick legs to help him churn out short yards. He also has the vision to make players miss at all three levels.
Sermon is also a real threat in the passing game, and he can be a matchup nightmare in the NFL. Adding a player like this to the offense could make them scary moving forward and make them capable of controlling football games and competing.
