This is a nice idea if the Philadelphia Eagles double-dip at wide receiver.
Close your eyes for a second and imagine Terrace Marshall and Jalen Reagor lined up out wide on the offensive formation with Dazz Newsome lined up in the slot. Please sit down if you just jumped out of your seats. The people behind you can’t see anything.
Newsome, for whatever reason, doesn’t get a ton of mid-round grades, and if you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan, that might be what the doctor ordered to increase the team’s chances of getting a burner late.
Maybe he’s ignored because of his size, but he’s five-foot-eleven and 190 pounds, so he’s no runt. Maybe he gets punished for playing at a basketball school? Who knows what the problem is. All you need to know is this. Once this guy gets the ball in his hands, the party is only beginning.
If this new coaching staff lands Marshall, and if they can get Dazz Newsome late and get a guy like Quez Watkins going, the Philadelphia Eagles have a chance at becoming a reincarnation of The Greatest Show on Turf. You can jot that one down if you’re a Birds fan.
