Philadelphia Eagles find a DeSean Jackson prototype.

Ihmir Smith-Marsette is a much better prospect than he is being given credit for. The Iowa wide receiver grew up as a huge fan of DeSean Jackson and the Eagles. It would only be fitting if the Birds brought him home.

The idea of double-dipping might not be the most enticing for Philly fans given the fact that there is so much youth already at the position. Why not bring in someone to compete with John Hightower for one of the last roster spots though?

Smith-Marsette was the Z-receiver at Iowa running in motion a lot. He took plenty of handoffs off of jet sweeps and reverses and was also the deep threat in an offense that took plenty of shot plays. The city of Philadelphia would quickly embrace him with the swagger and energy that he brings to a locker room. If he’s still on the board, he’ll probably be the best available by far.
