Well, the Philadelphia Eagles landed studs on Day 1 and 2 at least.

There was some intrigue and a little nervousness that the ‘quarterback factory’ might get kickstarted again. Come on. When the Philadelphia Eagles traded up to the tenth-overall selection and Justin Fields was still on the board, weren’t you a little worried that they might take yet another signal-caller?

Things went as well as can be expected though. With tight end Kyle Pitts, wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Jaylen Waddle, and cornerbacks Jaycee Horn and Patrick Surtain II all off of the board, Philly went with the best player on the board, the most recent Heisman Trophy winner.

Here are grades for Day 1 and Day 2.

Day 1 (WR DeVonta Smith, Round 1, 10th selection): How’s this for analysis? There’s nothing to complain about with the selection of DeVonta Smith. Grade: A+

Eagles Day 1 overall grade: A+

Day 2 (OL Landon Dickerson, Round 2, 37th selection): Landon Dickerson might be considered the best interior lineman in the draft’s entire class if he stays healthy. Ladies and gentlemen, every Birds fan has their fingers crossed. Grade: A

Day 3 (DT Milton Williams, Round 3, 73rd selection): The Inside The Iggles staff, depending on who you’re reading has been both supportive and critical of the selection of Milton Wiliams. It feels like there were a lot of better options available, and some of the Eagles brass couldn’t come to an agreement on this one. Grade: C

Eagles Day 2 overall grade: B
