The last time the Philadelphia Eagles met the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte…

The Philadelphia Eagles and Carolina Panthers have a strange history versus one another. Philly beat what was then known as the Cardiac Cats in 2003 before losing to them in the following NFC Championship Game. In 2018, the Birds blew a 17-0 fourth-quarter lead when Cam Newton tossed three touchdown passes in the final stanza to lift Carolina to victory, but there are happy moments if you’re a Birds fan too.

How about that Thursday Night game in 2017 when Philly began putting the pieces together for a championship run? The stakes probably won’t be as high this time around, but here’s something to ponder. These are two teams that probably won’t win their respective divisions, though Terrell Owens might disagree with that, but they both reside in the National Football Conference.

This is probably a crazy statement that’s being made way too early, but dare we say this is a game early in October that may help determine playoff seeding in January? We’ll have to wait and see, but this is definitely a non-divisional game that falls in the category of being both important and winnable.
