Will the Philadelphia Eagles add another veteran QB to their roster?

The Philadelphia Eagles have still not named their starting quarterback for the 2021 season. While most assume the starting QB is going to be the second-year product, Jalen Hurts, new head coach Nick Sirianni declared the starting role an open competition.

As of right now, this competition would be between three signal-callers: the aforementioned Jalen Hurts, Philly-native veteran Joe Flacco, and UDFA rookie Jamie Newman. These three quarterbacks are the three on the roster as of right now, but it is very possible more backup quarterbacks will be added for training camp.

While the three guys that are already here could prove to supply some interesting competition, there are also QBs in free agency and on the trade block that the Eagles could look into acquiring (as well as one that’s retired). Many of them have been mentioned in rumors that have linked them to the Birds. Here are a few ideas on how much attention should be paid to what’s being said.
