The 2021 NFL Draft saw the Philadelphia Eagles front office select a wide receiver in the first round, for the second year in a row. Rising star DeVonta Smith has everything you want in an NFL wideout, speed, great hands, and amazing route running. Here’s the thing though. Despite the fact that Philly has added blue-chip talent at that position twice in the first round in as many seasons, it would behoove their decision-makers to keep their eyes peeled for talent in the 2022 wideout class.

While early indications all point to the 2022 NFL Draft class of receivers being just as good, if not better than the group we all saw in 2021, there is one name that stands out amongst the rest, Coastal Carolina’s Jaivon Heiligh. He’s a former teammate of one of the newer Eagles Tarron Jackson, and his name is one that you’re certain to be hearing often.

The six-foot-two, 190-pound monster out of Venice, Florida has all the tools to be a dominant force in the National Football League. He’s capable of lining up anywhere, from the slot to the outside. Heiligh would be the perfect addition to any roster.

The Philadelphia Eagles could find tremendous value in Heiligh per scouts.

We at ITI sat down with a scouting source, to pick her brain about the Chanticleer star. While she asked not to be named she did have this to say:

First of all, he checks off all the boxes for me personally. He has size, good size. He has great hands, and he is a lot faster than most think. He runs very clean routes and loves to finish his runs. Get the ball in his hands, and he is looking to fight. He’s just so scrappy when he has the ball in his hands.

Continuing on she spoke about his potential fit in the National Football League:

He is an NFL player. He really is. He may not get the attention some other guys do, but he can flat-out play. Coaches and other scouts I have spoken with have had great things to talk about with him. If I am the Philadelphia Eagles, I am keeping a few sets of eyes on Coastal Carolina. They are stacked with players. Jaivon is one of my favorites.

Let’s make long stories shorter. The Philadelphia Eagles should keep an eye on the Coastal star.

Second-year wideout Jalen Reagor, and rookie wideout DeVonta Smith, have the skills and potential to be a dangerous combination. Even so, the Philadelphia Eagles need to pay close attention to the upcoming class of wideouts. Potentially adding a weapon like Jaivon Heiligh to the Eagle’s offense, could have their passing offense near unstoppable.

Do yourself a factor and watch as many Coastal Carolina Football games as you can this year. You are going to see a ton of talent, and perhaps the best of the bunch will be wide receiver Jaivon Heiligh.
