Philadelphia Eagles: 3 players fans would like to see leave NFC East
Philadelphia Eagles fans are praying Chase Young leaves D.C. fairly soon.
Washington might have won the NFC East this past season but in the previous year, they were so bad that they landed the No. 2 overall pick in the following draft. With that pick, they hit the jackpot by winning the Chase Young sweepstakes.
Young destroyed teams while at Ohio State and if quarterbacks didn’t typically go No. 1 overall, he’d have been the top choice a year ago. He showed that same dominance during his rookie year, winning the Defensive Rookie of the Year award for the show he put on for the Football Team.
Young started 15 games a year ago and totaled 44 tackles, 12 quarterback hits, 7.5 sacks, four defended passes, and four forced fumbles. His first-ever NFL actually game came against the Eagles and he got his career off to a red hot start, notching 1.5 sacks and forcing a fumble.
Unfortunately for the Eagles, Young is just 22 years old and has four years left with Washington (the fifth-year option seems like a given) before he could hit free agency so this is one player that won’t be leaving the division anytime soon. Hey, Eagles fans can dream about the day when they no longer have to face Young twice a year.
