Ranking every Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman before camp
Here’s a mix of guys who may compete for jobs on this Philadelphia Eagles team.
12. Brett Toth, tackle: We referenced those seven offensive tackles earlier. As mentioned, Le’Raven Clark is the low man on the totem pole. Brett Toth and Casey Tucker are in a battle to determine who the sixth-best guy is at the position. Both are in danger of being added to the waiver wire.
11. Sua Opeta, guard: Sua Opeta has eight games with six starts on his resume. He’s interesting, but he’s probably a guy the Philadelphia Eagles will call when they need someone, not a guy that they add to the 53-man roster when the preseason ends.
What’s that saying? It’s not you. It’s us.
10. Nate Herbig, guard: Nate Herbig is a pretty familiar face around the NovaCare Complex as well. Philadelphia Eagles fans have seen him play in 17 games with 12 starts over the course of his two-year career. Keep an eye on him because the Eagles brass likes him a lot.
9. Matt Pryor, guard/tackle: Matt Pryor can be frustrating at times and decent at others. Remember that false-start penalty that took the Birds out of field-goal range at the end of the Cincinnati game? heck, what does it matter? Jake Elliott would have probably missed the doggone thing anyway! Pryor gets a little love here because he can play both guard and tackle.
