This may be two of the Philadelphia Eagles starters in 2021.

5. Jordan Mailata, tackle: Well, Philly swung and missed on Adam Zaruba, a rugby star they landed as an undrafted free agent with hopes of turning him into a tight end, but this Jordan Mailata thing seems to be working out.

The Philadelphia Eagles made him the 233rd-overall selection during Round 7 of 2018’s NFL Draft. He’s been slowed by injuries, a steep learning curve, and Philly’s decision to kick the tires on Jason Peters one more time than they needed to.

The knowledge that Mailata will compete for a starting left tackle job versus Andre Dillard is a sign of great coaching and development, bad coaching and development in terms of Andre Dillard, Mailata’s heart and determination, Dillard’s apathy, or all four components working together. You can argue gaming yourselves about what the correct answer is.

4. Isaac Seumalo, left guard: Perhaps one of the most underrated players on this roster, Isaac Seumalo may never earn a Pro Bowl nod, but he keeps coming to work and doing his job. That’s all you can ask for.
