Philadelphia Eagles 90-man training camp depth chart
How on Earth do the Philadelphia Eagles trim the roster from 90 men to 53?
Talk about time flying. It feels like some of us were just mowing the lawn in preparation for another 4th of July, and here we are. It feels like a day passed, and now, it’s time to begin discussing the Philadelphia Eagles and what they might do in terms of molding this team.
90 men sit on the roster currently, but second-round draft choice Landon Dickerson hasn’t signed his rookie deal yet. Once, he’s put pen to paper and is official, Philly’s brass will need to move someone off of the roster to make room.
There’s an old saying that goes “the last man in is the first man out”. That probably won’t work here. Philly’s last two signings brought in Richard Rodgers and Nick Mullens. They figure to be here, but perhaps wide receiver Michael Walker is sweating? Like Rodgers, he was added on June 6th. Unlike Rodgers, he’s probably staring up on everyone at the depth chart at his position.
If you’re like most, you’ve identified the starters and some of the reserves. Now, it’s time to figure out who those last 20 or so guys are. Let’s take a few moments and do our part to assist (like this team needs that). Here’s a guess at what the first depth chart of training camp might look like.
