Ranking every Philadelphia Eagles tight end on their training camp roster

The Philadelphia Eagles have an interesting battle brewing at tight end.

Are you looking for someone to play the role of ‘captain obvious’? How’s this for exhilarating journalism? At the time of this story being written and published, the midpoint of July approaches, and Zach Ertz is still a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Now, if you’re like most NFL fans, no one’s going to talk you into the idea of what might be the greatest tight end in franchise history remaining with this team as we move into the 2021 regular season. As a matter of fact, it feels like it would take a miracle for Ertz to stay with the only team he’s ever played for a ninth season. Stranger things have happened though.

If Ertz stayed, it really wouldn’t surprise anyone, would it? Let’s say he doesn’t though. The Birds figure to carry three tight ends into the regular season, and without Number 86, Dallas Goedert becomes the man at the position.
