Philadelphia Eagles 53-man roster: The O-line (9)

Jordan Mailata, Issac Seumalo, Jason Kelce, Brandon Brooks, Lane Johnson, Andre Dillard, Landon Dickerson, Jack Driscoll, Nate Herbig

Among many mishaps in the 2020 season, the Eagles offensive line was a prominent one. The group led the league in sacks allowed, but there’s a silver lining to this.

The crew was absolutely decimated by injuries last year. They rolled out 14 unique offensive line combinations and were forced to start players like Sua Opeta and Brett Toth who likely won’t even make this year’s roster.

When this group is healthy, make no mistake, they are one of the strongest positions on this team. Kelce, Brooks, and Johnson are all some of the best performers at their respective positions, and Issac Seumalo has consistently performed at a high level.

The battle for the left tackle position will be fun to watch throughout training camp and preseason. Mailata performed well last season and appears ready to take over the job, but Dillard has a chance to prove his first-round pedigree. Regardless of who wins, the competition should elevate both of their abilities and leave the team with an excellent backup left tackle.

Driscoll and Herbig were thrown into the dumpster fire last year but were able to perform quite well given the offense’s dysfunction. The two of them, plus rookie Landon Dickerson, provide incredible depth and round out this talented offensive line.

Matt Pryor’s guard and tackle versatility give him a chance to make the roster, but this group of nine has the depth and ability to play at a high level for 17 games.
