Philadelphia Eagles roster: Trade scenarios that add a veteran wide receiver

It’s time to finally move Zach Ertz off of this Philadelphia Eagles team.

Trade: Philadelphia Eagles trade tight end Zach Ertz to the Los Angeles Chargers in exchange for a fourth-round pick and wide receiver Jalen Guyton. 

It seems like Zach Ertz has been on the trade block for the last two seasons. For whatever reason, the Philadelphia Eagles front office has looked to move on from arguably the best tight end in Eagles history.

Well, whether you’re on the side of whether this is a crazy argument or not, Roseman seems hell-bent on moving on from the former Stanford star. If the Eagles had moved on from the tight end a season ago, they might have been able to land a day-two draft choice, but here we are, one year later, and Ertz is a year older and continues to deteriorate physically.

This trade creates a clever scenario where Philly can finally move on from the former All-Pro while landing a solid draft pick and a potential star in receiver Jalen Guyton. This is a win-win for both teams.
