The Philadelphia Eagles had some underrated standouts in game 1.

Can we all sit back and enjoy this moment, please? Ladies and gentlemen, Philadelphia Eagles football is officially back. Okay, sure, it was only the first preseason game of the year, but football is football.

Coming off of a horrible year, Eagles fans across the globe have been itching to see any sign of hope possible. Well, the good news is the Birds had a pretty good showing (despite losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers) for a team with so many question marks.

What’s even better is this. The Philadelphia Eagles seem to have even more talent on their depth chart than we all thought. This alone should make it even tougher for general manager Howie Roseman and head coach Nick Sirianni, to figure out the final 53-man roster.

Watching and then rewatching the Eagles versus Steelers contest it was easy to see the potential the Eagles have. First-year starter Jalen Hurts had a pretty good showing in his two series. Wide receiver Quez Watkins continues to add to a great offseason, and the defensive line is deeper than it has been in recent years.

Keeping that in mind here are three underrated standouts from the first preseason game.
