Let us all thank the football gods (deep breath), that Birds football is finally back in town. Seeing Philadelphia Eagles fans fill Lincoln Financial field and lose their minds over the first preseason game was a joy to watch and the truest form of beauty.

While the City of Brotherly Love was rocking in the stands, the Birds were hard at work as head coach Nick Sirianni, rolled out the new-look Eagles. His team would eventually fall to the Pittsburgh Steelers, but there was a lot to like about the product.

Most eyes were on Jalen Hurts, but there were more than a few other standouts as well, prospects that everyone may fall further in love with as we move to the preseason’s second week.

These Philadelphia Eagles host an old enemy in Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots for a few joint practices and their second preseason game. We all have another opportunity to dissect this Eagles team. In game two, we should see a larger sample size from the starters, but it’s the depth pieces that should really intrigue football fans.
