Philadelphia Eagles: 3 underrated players to monitor versus Patriots
Philadelphia Eagles guard Sua Opeta.
It seemed like the Philadelphia Eagles season went downhill as soon as the injuries hit the offensive line. While it was hard to look at last season, there may have been a silver lining to the mess that was 2020.
Many of the Eagles’ young and inexperienced offensive linemen were forced to play multiple players on the front line, and the front office had to truly show off their worth by finding solid depth pieces.
To say they succeeded would be cutting them short as the Birds seemed to have found a few potential stars upfront. While Jordan Mailata, Nate Herbig, and Jeff Driscoll may have gotten most of the media hype, there’s someone else that Eagles fans should keep a really close eye on.
Former Weber State Wildcat Iosua ‘Sua’ Opeta, has been a monster in the limited time amount of time that he’s been playing. Opeta was a bit of a surprise in week one of the preseason when he was given the start at left guard. Studying the film was a delight as the six-foot-four, 305-pound bullied Pittsburgh’s defensive line. Moving forward, look for Opeta to continue his rise.
