The Philadelphia Eagles enter their third and final preseason game with, if we’re being honest, more questions to answer than they had before the first game versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. They haven’t scored a single point in the past six quarters. There’s nervousness about Jalen Hurts readiness to lead this team, and as was the case a year ago, it feels like things can go from bad to worse if guys start getting injured.

This one’s against the New York Jets, and it’s the final hurdle to leap before things really get interesting. Let’s get into some of the particulars as everyone will be looking for better efforts out of the reserves on both sides of the ball.

Eagles vs Jets odds for Preseason Week 3

According to WynnBET, the Jets are favored by five points. If you want to choose a straight-up winner by betting on the moneyline, Philly has odds of +165, meaning anyone interested in taking the Eagles would need to place a wager of $165 dollars to win $100. If you’re backing the Jets, they have odds -215 which means you’d wager $215 to win $100.

On Monday, the over/under was projected at 34 points with the over being the favorite with odds of -116. Wager $116 on the over or wager $108 on the under to earn a payout of $100 as the odds on the over are -108.

Eagles Injury Report vs. Jets Preseason Week 3

On Sunday, the following Eagles were listed as ‘limited’ at practice: Shaun Bradley (groin), Le’Raven Clark, Fletcher Cox (groin), Andre Dillard (knee), Craig James (foot), JaCoby Stevens (hamstring).

The following players were given a designation of ‘day-to-day’: Genard Avery (groin), Derek Barnett (shoulder), Javon Hargrave (ankle), Jason Huntley (ribs), Ryan Kerrigan (thumb), Joe Ostman (concussion), and K’Von Wallace (groin). The Eagles also announced on August 22nd that they were signing tight end Cary Angeline after placing tight end Jason Croom on injured reserve.

According to Zach Berman of The Athletic, Philly also waived WR Jhamon Ausbon and DB Lavert Hill on Sunday.

Derek Barnett (shoulder), K’Von Wallace (groin), and Genard Avery all sat out of practice on Tuesday.

The Jets have lost Carl Lawson for the season, and linebacker Jarrad Davis (ankle), tackle Conor McDermott (knee), and cornerback Zane Lewis are all out indefinitely. None of the Eagles starters are expected to play in this one.

Eagles vs Jets Prediction Preseason Week 3

Based on what everyone has seen over the course of the first two preseason games, it’s safe to assume that the Eagles aren’t going to score a ton of points. The Jets have scored 12 points in their first preseason game and 23 points in their second.

When placing wagers on NFL preseason games, going with the moneyline is typically the best route to take, but in terms of this Eagles team, it feels like betting the under is a safe play too, especially seeing as how we’re going to be watching a lot of Joe Flacco and Nick Mullens.

Make your pick here right now.

Eagles next game and schedule

Once this one wraps, all three preseason games are in the books. The Eagles then travel to Atlanta to meet the Falcons in Week 1 of the regular season at Mercedes Benz Stadium. That one’s scheduled for a 1:00 pm EST
