Philadelphia Eagles: Final grades for every practice squad member
By Ryan Loftus
The Philadelphia Eagles may have one of the top practice squads in the league.
Yes, you read that right. The Philadelphia Eagles, quite possibly, have one of the best practice squads of all 32 NFL teams. While this may sound unimportant, it isn’t. There are many benefits of having a stacked scout team.
It is always a possibility that starting-caliber players can be injured or fall ill, and it is important to have an insurance plan on the roster. What happens, however, if multiple players in a position group wind up on the COVID-19/Reserve list? That’s where an above-average practice squad can make a difference.
The Eagles’ practice squad will consist of 17 players, including the 16 players we were expecting to see and DE Matt Leo, who qualified for an international exemption and does not count towards the total.
Most recently, the Eagles released safety Grayland Arnold after signing three players. Currently, the unit consists of two running backs, three wide receivers, one tight end, four offensive linemen, three defensive linemen, one linebacker, and three defensive backs. Here are the grades for every member.
