Eagles RB Miles Sanders will be better long-term than Saquon Barkley
The Philadelphia Eagles have created a much better situation for Miles Sanders.
Say what you want to say about Howie Roseman, the Philadelphia Eagles vice president and general manager, here’s something that you can’t state. Though he’s made this easy to forget this at times over the past few years, the Birds could do a whole heck of a lot worse at the top than good old Howie.
Look no further than the New York Giants senior vice president and general manager, Dave Gettleman. Some of the stuff that he’s done during his term with Big Blue makes Howie look like Jerry Buss sometimes.
Philly hasn’t exactly been the pristine organization. Frankly, they’ve had a lot of drama transpire, but the Giants are one of those teams that may actually be worse run.
We won’t get into a ton of specifics, but we will talk about New York’s roster. If we just focus on the offensive side of the ball, then, we have to acknowledge that, even though the G-Men have attempted to find elite offensive talent to surround the inconsistent Daniel Jones (Kenny Golladay, Sterling Shepard, Evan Engram, and Kadarius Toney), Barkley is the only real offensive weapon that worries opposing defenses and their coordinators.
The Giants have placed Barkley, once seen as the NFL’s premier backs, in a no-win situation, and judging by what we’ve seen from a franchise that was once seen as one of the NFL’s model operations, the culture isn’t set up for any of this to improve any time soon. They’re wasting a phenomenal talent on some pretty bad teams.
