The Philadelphia Eagles lost a pair of starters in Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. That isn’t what you want to see in any week, particularly Week 2.

Right guard Brandon Brooks exited early in the second quarter with a chest injury and has been ruled out for the rest of the game. Brooks was injured on the first play of the second quarter and was swiftly sent to the locker room.

Defensive end Brandon Graham went down late in the first half in what appeared to be a more serious injury to his left leg and has since been ruled out, too.

Here’s an official tweet from the Eagles account.

The Philadelphia Eagles are forced to make some in-game adjustments.

The Eagles will now be without their star defensive end and starting right guard as they look to make a comeback against the 49ers. The rookie, Landon Dickerson got his first taste of action as Philly’s right guard in Brooks’ absence.

As for their Graham, they have several options to choose from: Derek Barnett, Josh Sweat, Ryan Kerrigan, and rookie Turron Jackson. They’ve got some talent to cycle in.

Losing both Brooks and Graham in the same game is tough, but we hope the Birds can quickly recover and find a way to win. Once this one wraps, the questions are sure to hover around how long both of the Eagles legends will be out. Stay tuned, as this should be a narrative that everyone will be talking about over the next few hours.
