Philadelphia Eagles: 3 NFL Draft prospects worth keeping an eye on
Adding youthful talent to the Philadelphia Eagles O-line is a must.
At six-foot-nine and 330 pounds, University of Arkansas offensive tackle Dalton Wagner is a mountain of a man.
Despite playing one of the less than sexy positions, he has been a big reason for the Arkansas Razorback’s early success in 2021. An underrated athlete, Wagner possesses the athletic make-up to be the long-term mainstay of an offensive line.
Considered a leader on the offense and a genuinely nice guy, Wagner has a real nasty streak to his playing style. A style that fits the city of Philadelphia almost perfectly. The match is almost scary.
We all know that when healthy, the Philadelphia Eagles offensive line is one of if not the best offensive lines in the NFL, but the injury bug has already started biting. Add that to the way this unit has aged (Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson, Brandon Brooks) and you start to see a real problem.
It’s a problem that the front office needs to get ahead of as soon as possible. Adding Dalton Wagner in the draft would give the Birds a potential replacement for Lane Johnson. At worst, he’d be a solid backup.
