The Philadelphia Eagles’ defense must force a few turnovers.

The Philadelphia Eagles defense has struggled this season with forcing turnovers as the goose egg next to the interception total would demonstrate.

As mentioned, Kansas City has been a team that has been killing itself with turnovers. Clyde Edwards-Helaire has two lost fumbles in the last two games. Patrick Mahomes has three interceptions on the season. Prior to that, Mahomes came into this season having thrown zero interceptions during the month of September.

How can the Eagles take advantage of that? Well, Javon Hargrave, Fletcher Cox, and the rest of the big fellas on the line can pressure Mahomes into throwing before he’s ready. Maybe the football gods will finally deliver an interception.

Hargrave has been a beast so far this season, getting to the quarterback as he leads the team with four sacks. Like K.C., the Eagles’ defense isn’t good against the run, having given up 401 total yards per contest in 2021.

Let’s be real here though, this is going to be a hard game to win for the Eagles as the Chiefs have a real bad taste in their mouth, and they want to prove that they are still the team to beat in the AFC.

If the Eagles try to air it out with Hurts and try to match Mahomes throw for throw, Sunday will produce another win for Andy Reid versus his former team. That will also make Reid the first NFL head coach in history to win 100+ games with multiple franchises.
