The Philadelphia Eagles have a few things that they can be encouraged about.

Despite being praised by his head coach, Nick Sirianni, who said Jalen Hurts‘ performance in Week 4 was the best he’s seen by his signal-caller, Hurts was his usual stone-faced self in his post-game presser. If you don’t like anything else about the Philadelphia Eagles‘ signal-caller, at least praise him for that.

He can’t stand losing. Birds fans can’t either. At least we see some fire from the captain though.

He isn’t concerned about how good he looked. He wants to win, and while you have o love that about him, there’s nothing wrong with praising his performance.

QB1 completed 32 of 48 passes and tossed two touchdowns. Truthfully, he should have had a third, but his rainbow to DeVonta Smith was called back due to penalty.

Hurts has to hit easy throws more consistently, like that goal-line toss on the outside to Greg Ward, but there’s a lot to be encouraged about here.

Perhaps you’ve heard. The Eagles have lost three straight, and though there are no moral victories in the NFL and even though no one is going to throw a parade because ‘Philly hung in with the Kansas City Chiefs for three quarters’, there’s no need to bash the Birds too much.

The 24-hour rule is in effect. Let’s name some studs and duds, and then, let’s get ready for the Carolina Panthers.
