Eight starts into Jalen Hurts‘ tenure as the starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, there are a few things that have jumped out at each of us. One, he isn’t quite polished yet, but there’s a lot to build on. Second, his maturity is off of the charts. This is exactly the type of person that you want to lead your football team. Third, this one may surprise some of you, but it’s a fact.

If Jalen Hurts continues to do most of the good things that he’s currently doing, he’ll have to start winning eventually. There are circumstances that have been out of his control. He’s certainly not without flaw, but ladies and gentlemen, the Philadelphia Eagles aren’t losing because of Jalen Hurts.

He’s completed 66 percent of his passes through four games. That’s a 14-percent jump from what we saw a season ago. He’s thrown seven touchdown passes versus only two interceptions, and in all honesty, had his two best wide receivers run better routes and avoided having two of their touchdown receptions called back, we’d be talking about two more touchdown passes.

Should we even get into the touchdowns that have been called back due to penalties or the bad playcalling that has led to some less-than-stellar offensive football?

Make sure you keep Jalen Hurts on your Fantasy rosters.

Fantasy football is played by millions of people each and every Sunday. It’s quite an interesting animal. Your favorite quarterback can literally lose a game on game day by two or more scores but lead your Fantasy team to victory.

If you’ve had Hurts on your team at some point during his first eight games, you know exactly what that looks like. Philly’s QB1 is 2-6 as a starter, but he’s seen by just about every Fantasy football expert as a goldmine.

Recently, in a quarterback breakdown on Pro Football Focus, Hurts got a ton of love. Take a look at some of what Ian Hartitz, the writer of this one, had to say:

"All Hurts has done in his eight career starts is put forward one fantasy-friendly performance after another. (His most recent performance) could’ve been even bigger if not for nullified scores to both Dallas Goedert and DeVonta Smith. Either way, the rushing usage on hand remains a borderline cheat code in fantasy land: Hurts has racked up the 11th-most rushing yards in the league since taking over in Week 14 last season. This sort of fantasy-friendly usage is matchup-proof; Hurts is a weekly must-start option and has earned top-five treatment at the position."

Let’s make long stories short here. Add Jalen Hurts to your Fantasy roster by any means if you don’t have him already. Start him if you have him.

He’s continued to impress both on the field and off of it. He’s definitely capable of turning your Fantasy squad into a winner, and here’s the best news if you’re a Birds fan. If he continues to do the things that he’s doing personally and professionally, that will lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a lot of wins as well.
