The Philadelphia Eagles finally got younger, somewhat.

The last thing the Eagles got right so far in this 2021 season is letting the young players play, even when they show signs of struggle. This is something most fans requested to happen last year with all of the injuries that had occurred.

Head coach Nick Sirianni needs to continue this trend to fully understand what general manager Howie Roseman and himself will need to do moving forward to ensure this team’s success. As far as cap space goes, the Birds are sitting a tick above 16 million dollars in availability, so the opportunity to bring in veterans or a big-name free agent was there.

Minus a few free-agent signings on defense, the Eagles franchise chose to stick with the younger players that they have currently on this roster, and that should be an encouraging sign for Philly fans. It has been paying off in some areas, like the emergence of receiver Quez Watkins and running back Kenny Gainwell.

It’s a hard ask of this fanbase, but fans need to be patient. The Philadelphia Eagles have a lot to evaluate still and figure out throughout this season. However, this does not mean that this team still needs to show improvement week over week. The wins will come, but for now, keep your eyes on the young players.
