The Philadelphia Eagles need to be aggressive ahead of the trade deadline.

There was a saying that we all used to use quite often when discussing the NFL: Field the best team possible. Here’s what’s unfortunate. A month has evaporated from the Philadelphia Eagles‘ 2021-2022 regular season, and we’re still not sure what that looks like.

The Birds, in an attempt to create some cohesion, have done some things that are, for lack of a better term, puzzling. Dallas Goedert doesn’t play enough. Nick Sirianni and Shane Steichen have refused to run the ball at times. There was even this weird-looking Philly Special in which we still can’t determine who the receiver was supposed to be.

We’re joking of course. There’s no need to email us.

Philly is smack dab in the middle of one of the more difficult stretches of football that any team will see all season. If they stop shooting themselves in the foot, this can still be a season that exceeds expectations. If they don’t, we’re probably looking at a long, long season.

As it is every year, the NFL’s trade deadline will provide Philly with an opportunity to do some moving and shaking. If they’re aggressive, they can do three things: get better immediately, shed some expensive contracts, and set themselves up for a more promising future.

If they sit around idly, prepare for more frustration. Let’s see if we can help out. Here are four players on the current roster that should be moved before the trade deadline.
