Okay, this didn’t work, and at this point, the Philadelphia Eagles have two options. One, they can hang on to Ryan Kerrigan, continue to waste snaps with him on the field, and hope he gets better, or second, they can try to salvage something following yet another of the many personnel failures that fall upon Howie Roseman’s shoulders.

Perhaps Philly should have known something was up when the Washington Football Team gave up on him and didn’t seem to behave as though they were any worse for wear when one of the best players they’ve had over the past ten seasons landed on the roster of a divisional rival.

Washington knew Kerrigan had nothing left. The Eagles should have picked up on it.

Nothing can be done about it now except, again, one thing. There are times when teams who are in desperate need at a particular position can be duped into believing that a player’s regression is the result of bad schemes or coaching (and that same player can help elevate their team).

Kerrigan can be moved believe it or not, but even though Philly won’t get much for him (he’s old and expensive), they’ll never get more for him than they’ll get RIGHT NOW.
