Philadelphia Eagles elevate two players prior to Week 6’s game
The clock struck 4 p.m. EST on Thursday, and there was no update on Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert. That, much to the chagrin of most Birds fans could only mean one thing. He’s officially out for Philly’s game versus the defending Super Bowl Champions, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Zach Ertz will, no doubt, be counted on to fill the void and step up in his absence. Philly, also at 4 p.m., announced that they were shuffling the roster some ahead of kickoff in an all-important game.
The Philadelphia Eagles elevate two practice squad members for Week 6.
According to a report by the team, the Philadelphia Eagles have elevated offensive tackle Le’Raven Clark and tight end Noah Togia from the practice squad to the active roster for Week 6’s game as COVID-19 replacements (Sua Opeta is also on the Reserve/COVID-19 list and inactive for Thursday Night Football.
Both Clark and Togiai are names that you should know. Clark is a three-time First-team All-Big 12 nod (2013–2015) that was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Philly signed him on May 19th of 2021. He was released on August 31st but re-signed to the practice squad the next day.
Noah Togai also has knowledge of both the Colts and Eagles franchises. An undrafted free agent in 2020 out of Oregon State, he signed with the Birds on April 25th of that year.
He was waived during final roster cuts on September 5th of 2020, claimed off of waivers by the Colts a day later, and eventually released on September 2nd of 2021 after spending time on their injured reserve twice.
Don’t expect to see much of either one of them in this one. Again, Zach Ertz figures to get the majority of the snaps at the tight end position. Andre Dillard and Jordan Mailata will start at the tackle positions along the Eagles’ offensive line.
