The Philadelphia Eagles may want to continue their fire sale.

As strange as this sounds, here’s something that Philadelphia Eagles Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie may want to consider. If this is truly a rebuild, it may need to be acknowledged that Howie Roseman may need to be placed on a much warmer seat. Some might even argue that this coaching staff, though young, might need to be on a short leash as well.

Hang out on social media or listen to 94 WIP-FM, and you’ll soon discover that much of the game’s most loyal fan base is ready to give up on Nick Sirianni and his assistants already. The special teams unit is definitely better now, but Sirianni, Jonathan Gannon, and Shane Steichen all appear to be in over their heads.

Whenever seasons like the current one occur, team personnel is always certain to occur. The Eagles are indeed talented. They have stars in the secondary and along the defensive line. They have some pieces at linebacker, even though they never put any real stock in the position.

They have great offensive lineman, stars at the skill positions, and a potential franchise quarterback in Jalen Hurts.

That alone tells you two things. Talent alone doesn’t always equal wins, and this team can’t win as constructed. Zach Ertz is gone, as you know, but with the NFL’s trade deadline approaching, Philly may want to continue the fire sale and part ways with some guys who have proven, they aren’t going to contribute much to a possible turnaround. What follows is three guys that fall in that category.
