Zach Ertz’s best moments as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles
Zach Ertz is an Eagles legend through and through.
Regardless of what your feelings are about former Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly, there are a couple of things he got right. Drafting Zach Ertz and Lane Johnson were two decisions that may go down as the best ever. We can safely state now that both of those guys worked out pretty well.
Now, as far as Chip is also concerned, you can argue among yourselves about whether or not burying Howie Roseman in the equipment room was wise. There was also the decision to take Nelson Agholor in the first round of 2015’s NFL Draft.
Philly passed on guys like Shaq Thompson and Landon Collins by doing taking Agholor. Sure, he had some ugly runs, but he was a nice watch in 2017 and 2018. There’s no debate about Ertz though. Chip hit a grand-slam home run with that one.
Over the course of Ertz’s career, he’s caught passes from Michael Vick. He’s also hauled in touchdown passes from Carson Wentz, Nick Foles, Mark Sanchez, Sam Bradford, and Jalen Hurts. His time with Philly ends after eight seasons and six games (for now), but he’ll be back one day as his place in Eagles lore has long been established.
We’ll miss him but fear not. There’s a little ’86’ in all of us. He’s in our hearts forever because he’s given us so many memories. Let’s discuss a few. Here are his most memorable moments in an Eagles jersey.
