Philadelphia Eagles potential draft targets: Cade Otton, Washington

These days, Philadelphia Eagles fans hear the name Washington Huskies, and they immediately think about the nightmares that were Daniel Te’o-Nesheim and Sidney Jones’ tenure in a Birds jersey. If any of you have an opportunity to stay up past 10 p.m. EST on one of these Saturdays to watch some college football, however, Washington’s Cade Otton might be someone that can make you feel good about Philly rolling the dice on a Husky again.

Some may disagree with the Inside The Iggles scouting report, but on this list, Otton is slightly ahead of Alabama’s Cameron Latu as the sixth-best tight end in college football. The next name on this ranking edges him slightly for a spot in the top five.

Philadelphia Eagles potential draft targets: Jake Ferguson, Wisconsin

At the risk of sounding disrespectful, if Jake Ferguson played for an SEC team as opposed to playing for the Wisconsin Badgers, we’d be talking about him, at minimum, every Saturday.

Sill, though the Big Ten doesn’t always get the same level of weekly attention as the Southeastern Conference, anyone with a set of eyes can see that Jake Ferguson is a top-tier tight end, one with the skill set to play at football’s highest level; however, with lackluster play from the Badgers at the quarterback position, he’ll need the benefit of some all-star game coverage and the NFL Combine to really prove his mettle.
