The Eagles finally establish the ground game and run the ball.

The Eagles’ offensive prowess has been one of the more disappointing storylines of the season so far. After so much talk during the preseason about what this offense could be, the buzz is gone. This team may not have a star-studded cast, but they have the weapons on offense to get the job done.

Here’s what you should expect (and hope) to see from this Eagles’ offense in Week 7… a running game. The Raiders are solid on defense. Pro Football Focus ranks them third overall. They’re second versus the pass. They’re the owners of the top-ranked pass rush, and they’re 19th versus the run.

The Raiders rush defense is a glaring issue. They’ve allowed 130 yards per game.

Jalen Hurts along with the combination of Miles Sanders and Kenny Gainwell are going to have a huge day. This simply is not the defense that you want an already struggling quarterback throwing 40 times on. That would be a recipe for disaster.

Though the Raiders pass rush is among the best in the league, they are susceptible to biting on zone reads and pre-snap motion from over pursuit. The Birds’ offensive line has a challenge ahead of them as they face star defensive ends Maxx Crosby and Yannick Ngakoue, but with tackle Lane Johnson back in the lineup, they have a chance.
