The Eagles head coach and quarterback will make a statement.

Above all else this season, the most significant thing fans are judging is first-year head coach Nick Sirianni and second-year quarterback Jalen Hurts. Both of them have had ups and downs. Bad play-calling and bad execution of the play calls have been the tale of the past few weeks.

In Week 7, fans of both the Eagles and Raiders will have an opportunity to see what their teams are made of.

Fox NFL reporter Jay Glazer put the most prominent question fans had in their minds to rest on Tuesday, October 18th. During one of his episodes of ‘Ask Glazer,’ he asked whether or not Nick Sirianni was on the hot seat. He put those thoughts to bed with the following answer.

This game isn’t just about Sirianni righting the ship. This is also about Jalen Hurts getting back on track. He’s coming off possibly his worst game, and he needs to start stacking wins for this team. The second-year QB has to start bringing consistency into his game and do so with some urgency.

As stated before, this is a winnable matchup for the Birds. Sirianni, Gannon, and Hurts need to start paying the rent, and they can begin to do so in Week 7. The Iggles schedule is much more manageable for the remainder of this season, and a win in Las Vegas can be a springboard to bigger and better things.
