Here are two bold predictions for the Philadelphia Eagles on defense.

The Raiders offense is averaging 305.3 passing yards per game but 79.8 yards on the ground. If Philly plays as they did in the second half of their past two games, minus that final drive by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 6, they could shock the hometown crowd.

Here are a couple of bold predictions for the Philadelphia Eagles when their defense takes the field.

The Eagles’ defense racks up three sacks and forces a turnover.

Derek Carr is taking a beating. So far, in 2021, he’s been sacked 17 times, and that’s good news for an Eagles team that should be looking to create pressure to rattle him.

He’s also thrown an interception in four of the Raiders’ first six games this season, and even though he has yet to lose a fumble, he’s put the ball on the ground five times. Philly will have an opportunity for a change of possession. If they’re lucky maybe they can force two. That should have them in a position to pull this one out late.

The Eagles’ defense holds the Raiders’ offense to less than 250 total yards.

Longer sustained drives and fewer three and outs (thanks to more balance and a running game) means the Birds defense isn’t on the field as long. Dare we say that they’ll be able to force a few three and outs of their own?

Trending. 3 Reasonable expectations for Week 7. light

Eric Wilson has been a disappointment so far, and Philly isn’t getting much from the second level of their defense. They do have some playmakers though. The expectation should be that they come through in a major way.

Philly’s defense held the Panthers to 267 total yards. They held Tampa to seven points in the second half of Week 6’s game. They should be able to deliver another above-average performance versus the Raiders.
