Philadelphia Eagles versus Las Vegas: 5 Raiders to watch on defense

The Raiders can be had if the Philadelphia Eagles dedicate themselves to running the football. The question is, well, will the Eagles run the doggone football? Maxx Crosby is one of their studs to watch on the defensive side of the ball. He’s another obvious mention. Here are five of the compadres that join him in Gus Bradley’s scheme.

1. Denzel Perryman, linebacker

Denzel Perryman leads the Raiders in both solo and total tackles. He has a nose for the football as you’re certain to see in Week 7.

2. Johnathan Abram, safety

Quietly, Johnathan Abram is coming along. Raiders fans know him well. The national media doesn’t discuss him enough. So far in 2021, he’s played 100 percent of the defensive snaps and racked up 48 total tackles, an interception, and two pass breakups on the year.

3. Casey Hayward Jr., cornerback

Casey Hayward hasn’t allowed a passing touchdown when the ball’s been thrown in his direction. That’s bad news for a quarterback, Jalen Hurts, that’s struggling to put the ball into the end zone with his arm.

4. Cory Littleton, linebacker

Cory Littleton is everywhere on game days. He’s the owner of the defense’s second-highest tackle total, and he’s batted down two passes on the season.

5. Quinton Jefferson, defensive tackle

ESPN’s Raiders depth chart lists Quinton Jefferson as questionable for Week 7’s game. Raiders.com doesn’t state anything to demonstrate that he won’t play. He’s a game-wrecker and the author of two sacks. If he can’t go, expect to hear Johnathan Hankins and Solomon Thomas mentioned a lot
