16. . 4-2. . Buffalo Bills. 7. team

A former Eagles assistant has the Bills rolling, well sort of.

Once upon a time, the Eagles had a young coaching prospect that was simply trying to learn the ropes in an ultra-competitive NFL. That young man’s name was Sean McDermott.

An assistant to the head coach in 2001, McDermott worked his way up to the defensive coordinator and secondary coach’s chair for the 2009 and 2010 seasons. He was fired on January 15th of 2011 after 12 years with the team but landed on his feet with the Carolina Panthers. That’s where most of the general public got a crash course on how talented he was.

Six years with Carolina led him to the head coach’s job with the Buffalo Bills, where he’s been ever since.

Buffalo entered the 2021 season as a Super Bowl favorite, but that talk has cooled some following a loss on Monday Night Football to the next team on this list. It’s much too early to sell that Bills stock though. This is a talented team that will be in the mix all year long in a crowded AFC.

. Tennessee Titans. 6. team. 35. . 5-2

An early-season loss to the Jets is all but forgotten now as the Tennessee Titans have beaten the Bills and Chiefs in consecutive weeks. They don’t get a ton of national hype playing in a small market (Nashville), but the Titans are a team whose name you may want to place an asterisk beside as we move through the 2021-2022 regular season campaign.
