Eagles vs Detroit: 10 Lions that can ruin Week 8 other than Jared Goff

The Philadelphia Eagles approach a very winnable game of the season, hopefully.

Week 8’s game nears, and emotions are, shall we say, all over the place. The next hurdle on the Philadelphia Eagles schedule is a Halloween clash with the Detroit Lions.

Normally, hearing something like that would put a smile on the face of anyone looking to see their team get back in the win column, but Philly’s march through the first 17-game schedule in franchise history has been anything but normal.

This was supposed to be the part of the schedule where Philly’s march got ‘easier”. Unfortunately, the first seven weeks of the NFL season has taught us that nothing can be taken for granted with this team, and the Lions, regardless of what their record has been, aren’t a team that looks at Philadelphia and thinks ‘we can’t win this game’.

As a matter of fact, the Lions have won the last three meetings between these two teams (and four of the last five), including the last clash these two teams had on a holiday, a 45-14 massacre on Thanksgiving in 2015.

Here are ten Lions other than the quarterback Jared Goff that can give Philly headaches in this one. If this Eagles team isn’t careful, they can wind up being the sacrificial lambs in Detroit’s first win of 2021.
