Sure, that seems like it was ages ago, and if you hadn’t seen it for yourselves, you might think that someone was lying to you. Still, after a very good defense saw its best players leave, one right after the other, the Jags haven’t been able to recreate that magic ever since.

The blueprint for recapturing the magic of the 2017 season remains in the DNA of every NFL team though. Find your franchise quarterback (Jacksonville has done that with Trevor Lawrence). Get your quarterback a running game. Build a defense that has his back. It would help a whole lot if that defense can get to the other team’s quarterback.
