Philadelphia Eagles way-too-early first-round 2022 mock draft

Reasons for the Philadelphia Eagles to give Corrall some serious consideration
Corral is a gutsy player and wants to get every yard possible. He can take a lot of hits, but quarterbacks can only get away with that for so long until a major injury results (as Eagles fans saw in 2017 with Carson Wentz). Against LSU this week, he looked better in that regard and slid more often but it’s something to monitor.
As for Hurts, he still has a long season to prove himself, and he may get another opportunity in 2022 to do the same thing.
Aside from Corral and Malik Willis, there aren’t many notable quarterback prospects worth taking early on in the upcoming draft. Some of Hurts’ mistakes are common for a young quarterback, but we have seen repeated mistakes without adjustments.
The offensive structure and playcalling as a whole are an evident issue and it’s been a detriment to Hurts’ growth. However, some of Hurts’ issues are not fixed with a new scheme. The theory that his lack of ability is limiting the playcalling may have some truth to it.
Right now, Corral looks like the better option and if Howie Roseman wants him he will go out and get him regardless. If he is available, they might not waste the opportunity.
